Raid
Basic Information

Terminology

Raids are a co-operative feature found in most MMORPGs, which allow for a large group of players to participate in an activity together including player vs player objectives, or player vs environment instances. In World of Warcraft, raids were usually divided into either 10-man or 25-man instances with difficult bosses and a large amount of elite enemies; World of Warcraft has since changed to allow teams of between 10 and 30 players to tackle any given endgame raid. The maximum amount of players in any given raid group is usually forty, although this is mostly for world bosses, world PvP, and certain battlegrounds. While Raids are normally found as instances, they may occasionally be conducted in the open world.
