Rauru is one of the seven sages in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time who helps Link defeat Ganon. Link first meets him in the Sacred Realm after he pulls the Master Sword out of its pedestal in the Temple of Time.
He is named after one of the towns that Link visits in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
