seaQuest DSV is a strategy game released for the Game Boy. The game is based on the TV show of the same name. There is a Genesis and the SNES video game of the same name, but it is a completely different game.

Production[ | ]

THQ worked directly with the computer graphics team at Amblin Entertainment to make the seaQuest DSV games accurate and realistic to the designs seen in the series.[1]

Marketing for the games included a large print campaign in comics and gaming magazines like Electronic Gaming Monthly, EGM2, Nintendo Power and Game Players as well as several Sci Fi and Fantasy magazines, such as Starlog and Omni.

Reception[ | ]

GamePro gave the game a 3.8 out of 5 in their September 1994 issue.[2] Video Games & Computer Entertainment gave the game a 6 out of 10 in the January 1995 issue, the same score they gave the SNES version, which was also reviewed in the same issue.[3]
