Notes
  • Unlike normal missions, in this mission enemy attacks first, and are deployed very near your units, so there might be quite some casualties.
  • The enemy will attack from three different directions, and you can choose 2 out of 3 of the deploy spots.
    • The upper left front features a wide open plain, allowing enemy units free movement to pick their targets.
    • The upper right front is a narrow valley with an artillery and many ground units to protect it. Deploying an artillery of your own on that front can take out the enemy artillery early, and allow a tank of yours to leisurely block the rest of the enemies there while you deal with other. That is, assuming your own artillery doesn't get taken out on enemy's first turn.
    • The lower right enemies has a fighter plane and an helicopter, which are very dangerous. One tactic to deal with them is avoid deploying units in the lower right, and put some Anti-Aircraft missiles in the upper right. The plane and the chopper won't be able to hit any of your units during the first turn, but will fly into the range of your missiles.
  • Due to the large amount of enemies, it's advisable to spread out your damage output to hurt individual enemy units just around 40% of their max health. This will get them to turn and run to be resupplied, instead of attacking you.

Senjou de Shoujo wa Kokoro wo Sagasu - Osaka 1

(C) Cyc. AA deployment

Tips
  • Recommended units: 2 anti-air missiles, at least one fighter plane and another aircraft (can be plane or helicopter), at least 2 armored vehicles, one infantry, and a respectable number of tanks.
  • At turn 1, move your anti-air missiles to the shore north of the home base. At turn 2, shoot down one enemy plane. At turn 3, shoot down a second enemy plane. At turn 4, shoot down a third enemy plane. Reload if at any turn your two missiles cannot bring down an enemy plane. Send everyone else to the lower left corner. You can potentially finish them off by turn 3 if the two surviving enemy planes both took damage while attack you during their turn 2. Once you killed the 3 planes off, have your AA units join the main group on the lower left.
Senjou de Shoujo wa Kokoro wo Sagasu - Osaka 2

(C) Cyc. Artillery deployment

  • Deploy your artillery up front by the bridge in the lower left corner. During turn 1, get all three of them across the bridge and form a ^ wedge in the lower left corner, right in front of the bridge. During turn 2, use your tanks, armored vehicles, fighter planes, and the border of the map to completely seal your artillery in, so enemy planes and armored vehicles cannot hit your artillery (reload if enemy plane got lucky and kills anything in one shot). Artillery should start blasting the enemies within range. Try to get artillery to achieve at least 100 damage per attack (they have the potential to one-shot kill enemy armored vehicles and infantry). During turn 3~5, continue blasting away via your artillery while keeping the front of the artillery covered with other units. Have at your fighter plane shoot at the enemy Su-27 plane and bring it down to 45 health or lower at turn 3, and kill it at turn 4.
  • Once the first wave of enemies have been taken care off, push north, but stay below the bridge. User your tanks to block the bridge, infantry to capture supply stations. Don't let enemy artillery kill your units. Send in two armored vehicles to kill enemy artillery ASAP. Your artillery should focus their fire on enemy Armored Vehicles and one-shot kill them. Use your tanks to attract the attention of the enemy helicopter so it doesn't shoot at your artillery, then use your AA missiles and/or fighter plane to take out the helicopter.
  • While your main units are busy in the upper right corner, have two air units gang up on an enemy artillery in the corner of the enemy home base that keeps your units right outside of enemy Anti Aircraft range. Kill it in one turn so it doesn't run away.
  • If you can get this far, the rest of the mission should be relatively straightforward, and the only remaining issue is the time limit. If you are really short on time, you can ignore the enemy SA-13 anti-aircraft missiles on the upper right corner. They are harmless as long as you don't bring your air units near. You only need to take over the enemy main base (the one with the enemy commander sitting over it in the upper right corner) with an infantry unit to win the mission. Your infantry needs to be sitting on top of the base by turn 19 to capture it by turn 20.
