Shenmue is a series of adventure games created by Yu Suzuki of Sega's AM2 division. Shenmue was first released for the Dreamcast in 2000. In the game, you take on the role of Ryo Hazuki setting out to avenge his father's death at the hands of Lan Di. Shenmue II was released in Japan and Europe for the Dreamcast in 2001. However, the United States did not see Shenmue II until it was released for the Microsoft Xbox in 2002. Currently, Shenmue Online is in development.
