Terminology |
The term Tablet has been in wide usage since the start of the 21st century, but has essentially come to mean a touchscreen-capable device with a relatively large screen. Current tablets on the market use one of two operating systems: Android or iOS.
iOS devices are manufactured by Apple, Inc., while the Android tablet market is split, primarily between Acer, ARCHOS, ASUS, Google, Huawei, Samsung and Sony.
